We will deliver improved services in the most cost-effective way possible. Liberal Democrats will identify the needs of our residents through more meaningful consultation and better communication.

We will:

Upgrade the Council’s Web site and introduce on-line surveys.

Encourage more public participation in Council meetings and provide greater information about decisions taken at such meetings.

bullet

Take Council meetings, particularly planning, into the community.

bullet

We will reintroduce, develop and promote a Youth Council.

bullet

Actively participate in "Local Democracy Week" in order to engage properly with young people and use all other means available to get young people interested and involved in government, especially locally.
