Work creatively with others such as the Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) and Suffolk ACRE (Action for Communities in Rural England) to equip councils and councillors with the skills and knowledge needed to enable them to take on more powers locally.

Consult residents about the responsibilities they feel should be devolved to parish and town councils and respond positively to ensure that, where this happens, services are not only safeguarded but also actively enhanced.

Generate closer working links with parish and town councils - removing existing barriers and developing more open and responsive services which residents have said consistently said that they need.
